About Still + Stone
Still + Stone is a restorative acupuncture studio rooted in thoughtful, individualized care. This is a space where you are listened to carefully, assessed thoroughly, and treated with intention. Every detail of the environment is designed to feel grounded, calm, and considered.
We believe medicine should be personal, structured, and deeply attentive. Care here is never rushed and never one size fits all. We value precision, clarity, and integrity in how we assess, communicate, and treat.
Our work blends traditional wisdom with modern understanding, offering a range of supportive modalities when appropriate, always guided by your specific needs. What we stand for is simple. You deserve to feel heard. You deserve care that addresses the root. You deserve a plan that creates lasting change.
Meet Pilar
Pilar is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist whose work is deeply personal. To experience her care is to understand that it is not simply a profession, but an extension of who she is. Her background, creativity, and lived experience shape the space she creates for her patients.
Acupuncture has been part of Pilar’s life since childhood through a close family friend who treated her family. Later, it became an anchor in managing her own anxiety. It was during a period of unexplained health challenges, after moving from doctor to doctor without answers, that her path became clear. She experienced firsthand what it feels like to be dismissed, unheard, and left without real support.
Through working with a functional medicine practitioner, something shifted. She realized she did not want to participate in a system that overlooks complexity. She wanted to practice medicine that listens. Medicine that searches for root causes and restores dignity to the healing process.
Before entering medicine, Pilar graduated with an Associate of the Arts in Visual Communication. That creative training continues to influence her clinical work. She sees patterns. She understands structure. She recognizes subtle imbalances others may overlook. Her approach blends intuition with precision and artistry with disciplined study.
Pilar completed over three and a half years of intensive graduate training at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, studying classical Chinese medicine, diagnostics, biomedicine, and herbal medicine. With thousands of hours in both academic and clinical training, her foundation is rigorous and evidence informed while remaining rooted in tradition.
She specializes in hormonal health, nervous system regulation, and orthopedic acupuncture. At the core of her practice is a belief that healing begins when a patient feels fully seen and understood. Her goal is not temporary relief, but meaningful and lasting change.
Her work is structured, intentional, and deeply human.
